Teacher Help
Plain-language answers for setup, student links, teacher visibility, privacy, and grading.
How do I start?
Choose a preset, create the class, paste student names, save an assignment, then copy the student links.
Do I need to paste anything technical?
No. Sign in to Marvin first. This page uses your signed-in teacher session automatically.
What do students use?
Each student gets a link. The link opens Marvin with their class and student profile already selected.
How does student homework help link back to the teacher?
When a student asks Marvin for help, Marvin saves a short learning note. The Teacher View shows those notes by student so the teacher can see patterns and follow up.
What happens to uploads?
Raw student uploads are not saved by default. Marvin keeps short learning summaries so the teacher can support the student.
Can Marvin grade?
Marvin drafts feedback and review flags. The teacher approves any final grade.
Can I add a whole roster?
Yes. Paste one student name per line and click Create Student Links.
Can Marvin help with standards-aligned planning?
Yes. Planning Studio drafts teacher-review lesson plans, bell ringers, small-group supports, and exit tickets from teacher-provided objectives and standards context.
Can Marvin adapt to different student needs?
Yes. The Differentiation workspace records reading level, language support, hint style, accommodations, and avoid rules for safer coaching.
How do I see who needs reteaching?
The Mastery view summarizes learning notes and draft feedback into review groups, misconception patterns, and reteach suggestions.
Can I award stickers and celebrate progress?
Yes. Stickers & Goals lets teachers award stickers, set progress thermometers, copy summaries, and trigger classroom celebrations. This is local deterministic UI and does not spend coins.
Can Marvin draft family or admin communication?
Yes. Family & Admin Comms creates teacher-review drafts. Teachers decide what is sent and can copy the draft into their normal school-approved channel.
What privacy controls matter for schools?
Privacy & District Controls summarizes retention, consent basis, export scope, blocked-topic escalation, and audit expectations while keeping child privacy mode as the default.
What should reps show schools first?
Open Settings, then School Workflows. Show substitute packs, intervention support, homework help, credit recovery, weekly operating packs, and the rep-safe school sales packet. Position Marvin beside the school LMS, not as a replacement.
How does District Ops help with buses and sick calls?
Open Settings, then District Ops. Import a student/address CSV, build a local route draft, edit stops, save a version, record approval, and draft sick-day staff and parent/student notices. Marvin drafts planning aids; school admins approve before use.
When do District Ops coins burn?
CSV import, deterministic route building, edits, approvals, and local sick-day plans are zero-burn. Marvin AI Route Review and Marvin AI Day Plan are cloud AI actions and burn the teacher/school tenant coins through the plan multiplier.
